As I had mentioned in my last post, my blog is changing location. Please visit my new and improved Blogsite at www.philipboudreau.com!

This blog will still be active but not updated, and can be accessed through the “link” button on the menu bar of the new Blogsite. Hope you enjoy!

Within the next few weeks, my blog will be receiving a face lift! I am currently in the process of setting up a Blogsite. This new Blogsite will be nicer and will give me the chance to show my pictures in a much larger size! I will also be able to add more information for my visitors and clients!

Currently, you can visit this blog by typing www.philipboudreau.com or www.philipboudreauphotography.wordpress.com. As I will be changing blogs, www.philipboudreau.com might not work when all the changing around goes on. If you wish to visit the blog, you will need to use www.philipboudreauphotography.wordpress.com. Once the changes have been made, the content of this current blog will not be on the new one. However, it will still be online for your viewing pleasure. Once everything is up and running, I will let you know with a new post directing you to the new blog.

I can’t wait for the new changes! Stay tuned!

Wow! What a beautiful wedding! There’s nothing else to say!

Last week, a group of around 40 people traveled to the Riviera Maya in Mexico for my sister’s wedding. We arrived on Saturday night and had a few days to relax and prepare for Wednesday’s wedding. We had a wonderful week with lots of sun, relaxing time and some partying here and there!

This was my first wedding of 2009 and what a perfect one it was! I was so excited to shoot this wedding because I knew it was going to be a wonderful setting with lots of bright, beautiful colors! I have so many favorite images that I could not just pick a few to show! Here are some of my favorites from this very special wedding!

I’d like to congratulate Lisa and Mathieu on this wonderful occasion and welcome Mathieu to the family. You guys are very special people and you looked amazing! Love you guys! xox

When I look at this picture from Lisa’s dress I can’t help but to laugh a bit…! I had this shot in my mind from the first day we got at the resort. This tree was growing right next to the steps in the Villa where my room was. I thought there would be a tree like this at every Villa, and I was going to take this picture where the girls would be getting ready. Wrong. There was no tree next to Lisa’s Villa, so I had to drag the dress accross the resort to get to my Villa to take this picture! Let’s just say it was a heavy dress in that hot weather!

The next pictures are from the ceremony. It was held at a gazebo on the resort, right next to the beach! You don’t get a view like this around here! Following the ceremony, there was a Mariachi band playing for us. What a fun time!

This was such a beautiful wedding! Again, congratulations to you both!

To anyone who is considering a destination wedding, DO IT! I’ve shot over 10 weddings, and this one was by far the least stressful one! You get there and everything is done. No need to worry about a thing! Just make sure to call me so I can join along and take the pictures! Haha!

I’m back from Mexico and what a fun time we had! I will soon be blogging a few pictures from Lisa and Mathieu’s wedding in Mexico as soon as I get a chance to backup all the pictures and post-process a few of them. Stay tuned; within the next week, I’ll post some pictures. I also have to get ready for my final exams…. L So it shouldn’t be toooo long!

Last Saturday I had my first maternity shoot! I contacted a former co-worker of mine to see if she would be interested in being my test subject! We had a great time shooting and ended up with some very lovely images. Check them out bellow! Sally is expecting a little boy in May. Congratulations Sally and Denis!

Also, huge thanks to my assistant, Melissa!

After receiving my sample album, Forbeyon contacted me to see if I would be willing to post my album collage image on their blog. Here is the post! Check it out at: http://forbeyon.com/blog.php

Thanks everyone at Forbeyon!

I wanted to share with all of you my new sample album from Forbeyon! (www.forbeyon.com)

This company is just amazing! Their products are high quality and their customer service is beyond exceptional! That is why I have chosen this album company as my main vendor for albums. They offer three different types of albums: Perfect Bound (magazine style albums), Linear Bound (mix between Perfect Bound and Flushmount), and real Flushmount Albums. Sizes range from very small, to very large! And the options/upgrades are endless, without being too confusing. The leather covers come in a variety of colors and are high quality, there are options for cameos, imprinting, paper upgrades, etc.

I got my album in the mail today and I was very excited! Check out some photos! This is an 8×8, Linear Bound Album, 50 sides, Pearl Paper with UV Coating, Coco Leather with Pearl Leather Accent, Metal Cameo and Imprinting on the spine. These albums are perfect to showcase your photo sessions, engagement sessions, etc. and they can also be used as Guest Books for guests to sign or even for a small wedding album.

Brigitte, Gabrielle’s sister, contacted me a few months back once she saw Justin and Gabrielle’s engagement photos. She wanted to get some pictures of the kids and the family in the snow. So a few weekends ago, we found a spot where there was still some snow left after a lot of rain! We took a few shots of the family together, then some of the kids and finally some of Brigitte and her husband Julien. Oh! – Brigitte is working on designing a logo for me. Once we have all the designs sorted out, I’ll write a post to debut my new logo! Stay tuned!

Yesterday I got a chance to take photos of one of my co-workers from this summer. Myriam wanted pictures of her and her boyfriend (this was not an engagement session!!) so we headed out to Centennial Park in Moncton for a photo session. We finished just in time before the rain started, and while we were leaving, I had to tell them to come back as the light from the setting sun was just beautiful. Check out their photos!

Last Saturday I got the chance to shoot a very special engagement session. Shooting a session is alway special and fun, but this time, it was my sister’s engagement session! This was “take 2″ on their e-session, as we had done one this summer to get a picture for their wedding invitation. This time, we headed off to Bouctouche at the Irving Park. What a beautiful place to take pictures. So many lovely spots to shoot.

Lisa and Mathieu are getting married next April in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and guess who was nominated to be the wedding photographer?!
